Process & Scheduling FAQs

  • A: We offer a few ways to get a quote for your exterior cleaning needs. You can use our convenient online estimate calculator on our website, which will give you a general idea of pricing. However, to get a final estimate and schedule your service, please call us at (804) 972-5960 , or use our handy online appointment scheduling tool to book an on-site estimate at your convenience!

  • A: Whether you need to be home during the cleaning is entirely up to your comfort level. We are happy to follow your specific instructions and can work while you are away if that's what you prefer. Just let us know in advance and we'll make arrangements to access the necessary areas (windows that require interior access, etc.)

  • A: It's really hard to give a general range for how long a typical [service name] job will take because the size and condition of your home, the level of soiling, and the specific services you choose can all significantly impact the time. However, we are always transparent about our scheduling process and will be able to give you a more accurate estimate after we discuss your project in detail. Here are some factors that can affect the time:

Size of your home (square footage, number of windows/stories)

    Level of soiling

Complexity of the job (window treatments to remove, heavily stained siding, etc.)

Services requested (window cleaning only, or bundled services with pressure washing, gutter cleaning, etc.) We understand you want an idea of how long to plan for, and we'll do our best to give you a realistic timeframe based on our experience.

  • A: Scheduling in advance is always recommended, especially during our busy periods around spring cleaning (March-May) and fall maintenance (September-November). Weekends also tend to book up faster, so if that's your preference, call ahead to secure your spot. Winter is typically our slower season, so you might be able to schedule a last-minute service with more flexibility during that time.

  • A: Absolutely! At Window Wise, we take the safety of your property seriously. That's why we carry comprehensive General Liability insurance. This insurance protects you from financial liability in the unlikely event of accidental damage or injury during our services. Certificate of Insurance available to clients upon request.

Service-Specific FAQs

  • A: Pressure washing is incredibly effective at removing a wide range of stains, including dirt, grime, mildew, and algae. Some common stains we successfully remove include green algae stains, red clay residue, etc. However, it's important to be realistic – not every stain can be completely removed, especially if it has been set in for years or is caused by something like rust or chemical damage. During your estimate, we'll assess any stubborn stains and give you an honest evaluation of what results to expect.

  • A: Our standard window cleaning service includes cleaning of window glass (both interior and exterior) and wiping down window sills. For an additional fee, we can also perform a deep clean of window tracks and screens, removing built-up grime, dust, cobwebs, and other debris for a truly sparkling finish.

  • A: We pressure wash a variety of exterior surfaces, including:

    Siding (vinyl, wood, aluminum, etc.)

Decks and patios (wood, composite, concrete, pavers)

    Driveways and sidewalks

    Fences

Outdoor furniture (with appropriate pressure settings)

Safety & Environmental FAQs

  • A: We understand your concerns about the safety of our cleaning products. While we do use powerful solutions to tackle tough dirt and stains, we make conscious choices to minimize environmental impact. Our primary cleaning solutions are biodegradable and safe for most landscaping when used correctly. If you have sensitive plants or pets with outdoor access, let us know during your estimate, and we can discuss extra precautions or alternative cleaning options.

  • A: Absolutely! Protecting your property is a top priority. Here are a few precautions we take:

Careful water pressure control: We adjust the pressure based on the surface to prevent damage.

Protecting landscaping: We can cover delicate plants if needed.

Awareness of seals and openings: We avoid directing high-pressure water near sensitive areas of your home.
